HLN is fortunate to have an incredible group of talented and dedicated people on its board and staff. Each is fully committed to our mission of enriching the lives of people affected by hearing loss, each contributes to the organization in a variety of creative and constructive ways. Board of Directors

	Joan Padilla, Chairwoman Chairwoman Joan Padilla has had hearing loss since childhood, and was raised orally in a mainstream environment. Her identical twin sister attended the New Mexico School for the Deaf and considers herself Deaf. Joan received a cochlear implant in 1999, and has long been active in ALDA and CIAI.
	Jan Mori, Secretary Secretary Jan Mori has both professional and personal experience with hearing loss. Professional roles as Director of Human Resources for a private company and as a consultant to non-profit organizations provide one perspective; dealing with declining hearing in aging relatives provides another.
	John Flattery, Treasurer Treasurer John Flattery has served in a variety of technical and business roles in the private sector for over thirty years. He brings technical, financial, and business expertise to HLN, including valuable insights derived from his leadership role in a technical startup.
