Communications Workshop for People Affected by Hearing Loss

* Do family members complain about the television being too loud?
* Are you feeling isolated?
* Do the phrases "Never mind" and "It's not important" set you off?
* Are your family dynamics changing as your hearing declines?

If your "family" (however YOU define it) is experiencing communications problems due to hearing loss, this workshop is for you! Most families who experience these problems share a common set of difficulties. Education and training are often critical steps in reversing the resulting deterioration of family communications. The Hearing Loss "Family" Workshop presented by Hearing Loss Network and Deaf Community Services provides the information and insights you need to understand and overcome communications issues related to hearing loss.

The workshop is intended for hard of hearing, late-deafened, and oral deaf people and their "family" members. Individuals from these groups are encouraged to attend, as are couples and entire families. If you're wondering if you might benefit from this workshop, it's probably for you!

We define "family" very broadly. If you would like to bring your boss, neighbor, co-worker, friend, etc., that's fine with us!

Captioning is provided to ensure communications access.
